Your New York Fall Bucket List

Your New York Fall Bucket List

October 14th, 2019 | Activities

Fall is here, so let’s get right to it. What are the best things about this season? The flavors, the colors and the parties. Make sure to add these experiences to your New York fall bucket list. It all starts at Royalton Park Avenue

Take a Bite of the Big Apple

Presented in partnership with Breezy Hill Orchard

Crisp and delicious apples are within close reach this season, as we partner with Breezy Hill Orchard to bring the apple picking experience to Park Avenue.

Breezy Hill Orchard is a founding farm member of the nearby Union Square Greenmarket. Offering ecologically grown fruits in the heart of the Big Apple, the orchard produces about 50 varieties of apples. All fruit is grown on their family farm, employing natural methods to close the distance between farm and table. This method of ecological farming covers a spectrum of environmental and conservation practices including organic and biodynamic. The orchard also crafts a full line of homemade pies, baked goods, and ciders.

Pre-order a freshly baked handmade butter crust apple pie to your room, pick up a juicy Jonagold in the lobby, or sip cider and fall-inspired cocktails all month long. Sugar, spice, and everything nice. That's what autumn in New York is made of.

Now through October 31st

Tree lined Mall in Central Park in fall with lamps shining. Go Leaf Peeping in Central Park

Now that you’ve tasted the flavors of fall at Royalton Park Avenue, head out and see its colors! Colors begin changing in the city around mid-October. The best way to keep track of the changing leaves is by following a New York fall foliage report. And the one place where you can see fall foliage in all its glory is Central Park.

Pack a few snacks, rent a rowboat in Loeb Boathouse and spend an afternoon gliding across The Lake. Take a walk along the tree-lined Mall, cross Bow Bridge or explore the most picturesque spots by joining a guided tour with Free Tours By Foot or Central Park Conservancy Walking Tours

Dress up for Halloween

Have you seen our roundup of the spookiest Halloween parties in New York? Party like you mean it and bring your best costume for a chance at winning a prize! If you want to take things down a notch, go to the iconic and Instagrammable NYC Village Halloween Parade

Another parade that will have you snapping away is the Halloween Dog Parade in Tompkins Square. See the most adorable canines showing off their best Halloween look. Stay until the end and see which pooch wins the top prize.
