Twice a year, fashionistas, forward-thinking designers and fashion enthusiasts flock to New York for the long-awaited New York Fashion Week (NYFW). As an ever-evolving event, each year brings not only new trends, but also new events open to the public. Read more about it here.
NYFW will take place from September 6–14, 2019 across various venues in the city. Unfortunately, high-end designer and couture shows are industry- and press-only events. That doesn’t mean you get to miss out on all the action, though. First, if you can’t make it to NYC, most runway shows will be streamed live! Check back closer to the date for more details. If you do come to NYC, then you want to browse through the many events open to the public. While most of them are ticketed, prices are more affordable than you think.
Couldn’t snag an invitation to high-end designer show? Not to worry! Here are a few of the top events that anyone can attend. Keep checking the schedules as more will be added closer to the date.
The Art Hearts Fashion (172 Norfolk Street, New York, NY 10002) organizes contemporary fashion runway shows that are an unbeatable experience for fashion lovers. Each pass gives you access to up to eight runway shows, an art gallery and complimentary tastings from sponsors. Tickets start at $33 per person at an early bird price.
The Set NYC works to end child trafficking through the arts. Their events bring together artists and collaborators in the art, film and fashion industries. During NYFW, The Set NYC will organize two shows, Story of Creation and Angels VS Demons. Consult their website for a list of participating artists and designers.
For the first time, Fashion Coffee will be hosting a “Style Up” Fashion Showcase. The event will present varied collections by emerging designers, including shoes and accessories. VIP tickets will include hors d'oeuvres as well as a chance to meet & greet designers and models.
If you’re coming to New York for Fashion Week, you need a room at a boutique hotel that caters to fashionistas. Royalton Park Avenue’s central location will put you close to most NYFW venues. Take a look at our blog for style inspiration and NYC shopping tips.
